Sat, 7 Nov - Attended a feast at Cik Arasmi house @ Choa Chu Kang. The gracious couple are going to Mekkah to fulfill one of the five pillars in Islam which a lifelong dream for many Muslim. We had an extensive meal for lunch and unexpectedly i met my primary classmate Juriah. Really excited and happy to meet her..surprisingly she forgot that she had changed both her home & HP nos and that is why she was uncontactable during the TKGPS reunion..;)

Sat, 17 Oct - HAPPY DIWALI to all the Hindus. In the afternoon we went to Istana just to wish Diwali to Mr & Mrs President and took lots of memorable pictures of the Istana and the dreary surroundings ;( Then we headed to Taka to shop ;) and to end the day we had Dinner at Vijay house @ W'lands. The following days the Diwali celebrations continues as we received lots of Indian foods and cookies from our gracious neighbours and frenz :) for a week ;0

This week i'm in a very high spirit. Thanks to FB that we managed to find most of my long lost friend from Telok Kurau Pri Sch (TKGPS). Wed, 30 Sep, 11 of us meet up at Sakura, Pasir Ris. Everyone in the restaurant can feel the tremor. Nope...the tremor was not from the Sumatra earthquake but from the girls power laughter and chatter. We were there from 7 to 11 pm but time does not permits us to stay longer ;) However, the reunion does not end here either...the search for the rest of TKGPS (1979-84) and teachers are still continues...and yes!! we managed to get a few of them.

Fri, 2 Oct, This is the first time kiddy went to camp which was organised by the school's scout and at the same time there was also parents meeting session. It's a one day camping and kiddy was excited for his independancy. Sis occompanied to send kiddy and meet the teachers as well. After awhile Bro was waiting at the school compound to fetch Obek from Bedok Reservoir ^+^

Sat, 3 Oct Hari raya celebration continues.....Dijjah with children and her friends came to visit. And surprisingly after that, Obek agreed to follow us to Lyana house;)

Fri, 25...Sweetheart was really lucky to receive a pair of F1 passes for 25, 26 & 27 Sep 09. He got it from participating in the website contest organised by Esplanade. I'm not a F1 fan, but opportunity comes once in the life time. Even though i went for the training session it was totally a new excitement at this unique atmosphere. Experince the noise and to witness the fastest moving machines up close in short distance was totally spectacular!!.

Unfortunately, we have to give away the qualifying passes to someone as we organised an open house for Hari Raya. On the actual day the F1 fans, Sweetheart and bro witness the Champion of F1 Singapore grand prix... it must be a blissful night for both of them ;)

20, Sep "SELAMAT HARI RAYA". For the past years, on the first day of Syawal will always be the same. I mean the same houses that we will visit, same destinations and even same timing. However this year there is a slight changes as my cousins from KL celebrated Hari Raya in Singapore. They were at my house two days before Hari Raya and will be staying for a week.

On the first day of Hari Raya we went to 8 houses, followed by 9 houses on the 2nd day and only 2 houses on the 3rd day partly because everyone start working but not me!!. Just let's the photos do the talking but unfortunately some houses I forgot to take any photos....:)

Wed, 9 Sep. We were hesitant to let Obek go home especially when no one is around to keep her company but we have to fulfill her wish. We just hope and pray that everthing is OK. At home a few of us kept her company. Thanks to Siti, Yanti, Dyla, Yana, Waheeda our assistant nurse...he..he..he girls..you all have done a good job!! Oops..almost forget my little sweetheart a dedicated nurse to be... Again i wish to thank to you all...MUAAH!! Hari Raya nanti Bik Ona belanja makan...Bik Icah belanja minum aje...but not forgeting with kuih for desert.ok tak??

Sat, 12 Sep. Every year without fail i heard that people will say they have no mood to celebrate hari raya but these are the people will not stop buying things for hari raya...its "pelik tapi benar" i guess we have the "semangat...semangat kental untuk Beraya". Regardless how poor, at least new baju kurung must buy especially for the young ones. We ourselves don't want to miss this chance. We went to JB to hunt for baju kurung ... very fortunate that sweethearts manage to get theirs but not for Sis. But no worries we still have one more week to shop.... :)

We created another history of our own, a new baby was born on Sat, 5th Sep. It's look sexy, comfort and elegant and i was really anxious to be ferried around. Hubby was not conviencing on that day, however he collate all his might and courage to ride on the new baby to Geylang. Along the way there a bit of nerve, tense and a few hiccups but..overall Bravo!!...he can handle the new baby!!! Few more weeks I'm sure he will turn himself into a PRO.

Another week of rest & relax at home. Look at my beloved Obek she getting better and at times she tried to walk independently. She ate, sleep and rest well but I believed that her mind and soul are elsewhere and that is why she got headache otherwise she would fully recover. Fri, 21 Aug 09 - School closed due to the PSLE oral. So me & hubby took half day leave to bring the children to City Square to watch G. I. JOE : THE RISE OF COBRA. All of us like this movie even it is over imagative plotline, an action movie from start to the end it's just massive fun. Definitely not one I regret going to see.... i loved to see Scarlett and especially Ana character in this movie...sexy but furocious.

Sat, 22 Aug 09- It's first day of Ramadan and really 'syukur' that we brought obek to our house. After all, she is not difficult to take care but i was really touched when she told us "emaknya tak dipelihara aku kau orang kena pelihara". Definately if my late mon is still alive we will be taking care of her. BTW it's really our pleasure to take care of her instead.... to us she is just like our mother. This is the time that we the young ones pay her kindness with care and tender love. Now she need more attention especially the love ones and only Allah ta'ala knows how she feels right now:( I hope Allah ta'ala will give us strenght and hers as well. May this Ramadhan will bring us berkat.....insa'allah.

2nd Week

Thursday, 6 Aug 09 i've got a shocking news from sis that our Obek (actually she more like a mother to us. She is the only elderly aunt left and have been very close to our family in S'pore) had a fall at home and was admitted to the hospital. Now she is a bit weak and unable to walk due the fall. Even at the age of 90+ she have been very strong , independent, compassionate, thoughful, painstaking, devoted and the list continues. My family loves her soooo much as she was partly responsible brought us up and had took care of our walfare especially the eldest siblings. Knowing her, i'm confidence that she will be recover as soon as possible. However, when received this news i was actually went for outing with my collegues but was feeling uneasy on the whole trip.

We had a very long weekend because Singaporean celebrating SINGAPORE 44TH BIRTHDAY. Many places that we went, so this time round i will put it in the point form...

The excitement for the red's still continues in media, news, among the netizen and especially at home and they are still keep on talking about it expecially the controversy for not playing the national anthem at the Stadium. Definately, the patriotic citizens and anti-liverpool get sensitif over it when we are nearing to celebrate Singapore 44th Birthday. I'm getting sick of it myself ...and as you can see the pictures, i'm wearing red is not for the pool but for SINGAPORE. We went to Woodlands 44th National Day dinner and very pround to be a SINGAPOREAN, proud to sing MAJULAH SINGAPURA (really miss this song soo much), enjoys singing COUNT ON ME SINGAPORE..., STAND UP FOR SINGAPORE...., WE ARE SINGAPORE......very patriotic seh...,,,,,,.and i'm very sure that every Singaporean enjoys it but refused to admit it!!

Well the Liverpool's came to town and what the big fuss since they won nothing last year. Unlike MU who won 3 trophies last year hem..hemm... but both of my sweethearts are a big fans of LFC. I had a lame weedkend but not for them. That day, Sunday the 26th was an opportunity for them to see their favourite players and also trying to recreate the Red's atmospheric homeground, Anfield. The sea of red shirts, and even the blare of airhorns all returned to the Kallang National Stadium. They were there to witness the Liverpool playing a pre-season friendly against the cubs...oopps!! i mean the Lions at the stadium. Because of the supporters are all behind the Pool the Lions are unable to roar against the tropyless and championless Liverpool ......lol..lo..lol.... :)

Gosh!! for the past few weeks i did not post anything so i will try to make a quick update. I guessed I need to improve my time management. For the first week of July, partly i was busy due to the relocation to a new office no...no..nope it's more like a private house. It's small but very cozy corner which came with small garden, parking lot, security guard and even a mini swimming pool opposite our office it's pretty coolzzz sehhh...ha..ha..ha below are some photos 4U2C. I just wish this will be happily ever after place to work :)

1st wk of July
Fri, 3rd, It's sweetheart bir'day and we gave him a surprise cutting cake session in the early morning. On that day me & hubby took a day leave for R & R . After sending kiddy to student care we spent our time half day at JB. We shopped, had lunch and pampered ourself with 2hrs of bodyscrub and massage. And at night we had our seafood dinner near our neighbourhood restaurant which is now our favourite spot of having lavish dinner. Sat, July 4th, is our special day and were supposed to be together. But sadly, hubby was wanted by bro to accompany them to KL for our cousin's wedding. However, hubby was having great time at KL and the next day hubby reached home at 3am.

Sat, 12th. For the first time we had kenduri in the garden at JB. Unfortunately, due to the inclimate weather we got drench in the mid of facinating conversation but can't really remember what were the siblings were talking about .....i'm getting absent minded lately....hahah....That is why i need this blog to remember all the events....hhmmm (Alamak!! no photo....)

Sat 18th, we were invited by our childhood neighbour to her daugher's wedding. I was too young then to remember or recognize most of them. But i leart by heart that we were staying at Marine Terrace, Blk 52, #05-201D. When meeting with long lost friend everyone forget to go home until it was about 11pm. However, the bride is another clone of Siti Nurhaliza...no doubt that she is so pretty.

Monday, 22 June 09, Only me and kiddy went to 1 Day Batik Workshop/Durian Feast/JB Shopping Tour which was organised by my company.

Both of us will never forget the very much exciting, thrilling and exhilarating experience of eating durians in the midst of lightning, thunder and rain just directly roaring over our heads. Despite the short downpour, i still managed to gorge down a few of durians and take-away 3kg of durians! According to the plantation owner, the whole group took around 550kg worth of durians in total! Maybe our group break their record...ha..ahahah..lol..lol

20th Jun 09, late afternoon, we went to Orchard Rd for shopping. Once we were there we headed to OG and got few things for ourself except for Sis. After awhile being a shopaholic we headed to the new building, Orchard Central. Externally and internally the design of the building was attractive and unique but the pathway along the stores are narrow. On the 7th floor we were able to view the whole stretch of Orchard Road. After visualize some of the areas, it time for us to full fill our stomach. Practically, we were there to celebrate Father's Day and had dinner at Sakura International. I won't elaborate too much because the pictures tells a thousand words.

The next day........HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!. It's a tradition that the Zone 5 RC will celebrate every important occasions. As usual after the brisk walk they distributed breakfast, cakes, gift for all fathers and then we home sweet home. To tell the truth the celebration it's a bit blunt. However, in the afternoon after kiddy came back from religious school we had tad of fun. We bought a father features cake...cute huhhhh. And in the evening we went to father's house ....chit chat with in-law to keep thing updated and last not least now they have 4 very cute kittens..soo adorable!!

Frankly i got no idea where to go nor make any arrangement for this holiday. However, i am very pleased that for this week few activities were arranged for the kids instead but was made by other resources. For instance on Thurs, Singapore Turf Club organised Fun Under the Star and on Friday, the Zone 5 RC organised a movie "Open Season 2" whereas on Sat, the RC arranged half day outing to ACM (Asian Cicilisations Museum) and to Marina Burrage. Coincidently it resolved my problem when my two nieces stayed a few nights at my place but unsure if they enjoyed those activities because they are no longer hhhmmmmm.... "i'm not a girl not yet a woman".

Sat, the 7th. And yet again we went to another engagement ceremony. This time it was held at W’lands. It’s a good sign that people got engaged and literally will get married and the next thing we will be having more good generations. Personally I’m unsure if it is genius to have a grand engagement celebration. Imagine the time, $$, energy consumed for the preparation of food, gifts, list of guest, decorations and the list goes on…it’s pretty taxing physically and mentally, i guess. And not forgetting next will be another preparation for the grand wedding. However, in spite of all these, I just hope it will turn out to be a good deed instead of burden....by the way it's up to every individuals ;+

As planned, the next day we went to the Science Centre. In order to avoid the crowd we went there early. Kiddy has been requesting to go to the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibition. It’s an exhibition that’s been termed as inspirational. "Da Vinci — The Genius" exhibition is based on the works of the great Italian Leonardo da Vinci. The exhibition, showcases Machine Inventions, presentation on the Life & Times of Leonardo da Vinci as well as the famous Secrets of the Mona Lisa painting and many more...To bad we were not allow to take any photo inside the exhibition..."rugi seh bayar mahal2 tak dapat ambil gambar". After the exhibition, we just followed the two little feet, where or whatever he wanted to go. For 6 hrs we were filled with discovery, wonder, adventure and fun. Yup, you’ve read that right. FUN! The real genius...obviously the ONE UP THERE!! but frankly i'm really astonish with Da Vinci works everthing is awesome!!

Sat, 29 May - In the afternoon we went to Cik Asmah's daughter engagement that was held at Punggol. After filled our stomach we headed to City Hall and mosey around until it was time for our appointment.

In fact Hubby, Sis and myself were selected for a paid survey at Stamford Road. It was about half hr survey which i felt an easy way to earn extra cash in our pocket. After received the good fortune we headed to Singapura Plaza. Witty things happened on the way there. Sis's sandal has gave way and my poor sweethearts have to walk back to the 7-11 to buy a pair of slipper. While waiting i felt that my feet was burning, after Sis got her slipper we continued our way to SP. By that time i could hardly walk as my feet was really killing me!! which made me feel a mile away to reach SP. As soon as we reached SP we went to Carrefour to buy another pair of slipper for myself. ..lol..lol.;) such a relieve!! After all the hiccup, we enjoyed spending our time there. The place was congested but vibrant, there was a dino exhibition, music game competition, and we enjoyed the 'LIVE IT UP WITHOUT LIGHTING UP - ROCKIN' WITHOUT SMOKIN" campaign. We received a remarkable surveniors and one of it is our future photos (72 years old!!). "Can any one guess which photo (A or B) is smoker and non-smoker?"lol..lol...lolll :)

I'm hoping that this campaign will give smokers an excellent reason to quit smoking - to protect their families, friends and colleagues.”

Sat, 23 May was such a dreary day. Everyone has it's own activities until 7.30pm we had dinner at our indian sister's home. Essentially, we were there to say bon voyage to her incomparable maid as well as a birthday wish to Arun. I have encountered few maids who are caring, hardworking, initiative etc...but this extraordinary maid is genuinely, truly a kind soul. I guess this is a gift of guardian angel from God to watch over the family. If truth to be told i hate to say good-bye to her and hoping to say HELLO again to her after the 1 month break. We will be missing you Siti.....MUUAAAH!!

Sat, 16 May. Late morning, we visited Mother together with sis and aunt. It was a very short visit and i felt guilty for not able to stay longer. Hopefully we can visit her again on the next weekend. Then, we headed to Toa Payoh Central and hang around until late afternoon. On that particular afternoon Bro informed us that there will be "Syarahan" held at his place at 7.45pm. Rather than heading to nowhere we agreed to attend the "Syarahan".

Unexpectedly, once we were there it was actually a Forum Perdana. We were so excited when we saw the banner, usually we watched the Forum Perdana that was broadcast from M'sia . Topic for that night was "Permata yang Hilang" eventhough it was a 100% Singaporean, it was a night to remember as we got two great panels Ustaz Hasan Saiful Rizal and Ustaz Tengku Mohamad Fouzy Jumat. The moderator for this forum was Uztaz Abdul Rahim Yusof and the presenter was... *drum roll*............my Bro dah.., a surprise indeed, he did not mentioned to me earlier. We gained knowledge and really glad to be there. The "Permata yang Hilang" is actually AKHLAK, our manners, etiquette, politeness, couteousness eventually is fading towards our siblings, friends, teachers, spouse, children and especially our parents. I wish we can follow our Rasulullah saw examples for known to have AKHLAK YANG MULIA. Here is the brief synopsis of the topic which was brought up:-

Initially, on the next day we don't intend to go anywhere but changed our mind when we were invited by my niece to join them for dinner. "Rezeki jangan ditolak, musuh jangan dicari..beb " this phrase has been playing in my mind, unsure if this is right . We had a scrumptious SEAFOOD meal...and...and....and....DURIANS for dessert shioklah!! And on behalf of my family, thanks to my niece & her hubby .... "Terima kasih daun keladi, lain kali jemputlah lagi" :o) ..lol..lol...lol

MOTHER'S DAY

It's MOTHER'S DAY apart from getting well wishes there are lots of reasons to be happy today. Being part of the RC and brisk walking member on every weekend it make me feel so great being with one of them. Today, after the usual morning walk, the RC's celebrate this special occasion dedicated to all MOTHERS. For this extra ordinary morning all MOTHERS spent time together having breakfast, playing bingo, cutting cakes (very yummy!!), photo taking and lucky draws.

Looking at those smiling faces in the group photo (almost 80% are senior citizen..one photo is still missing...???), they remind me of my MOTHER. It has been more than 7 years since my MOTHER passed away, the memories of her will remain forever in my heart. My MOTHER death is one of the most difficult experiences. Losing someone or something you love is very painful. After a significant loss, i experienced all kinds of difficult and surprising emotions. Sometimes it may feel like the sadness will never let up...when she's gone i then realised my MOTHER's endless sacrifices....gosh i'm getting emotional here.

Well, this is one of the greatest day that every child should remember, indeed everyday should be treated as MOTHER'S DAY. You should acknowledge the sacrifices she has made for you and say to her what she means to you. It is also the time to thank Allah Ta'ala for his wonderful present, the boon that has made you what you are. And please do get your MOTHER and give her a kiss and big hug everyday before it's too late.

Surprisingly in the afternoon, we got another scrumptious cake from kiddy and hubby. TQ dear...it very yummyyyy...... TO ALL BEAUTIFUL MOTHER OUT THERE "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY";)

2nd Wk

Kiddy was exactly 9 on 4th of May. Me & hubby took a day leave just to be with Kiddy on this special occasion. Kiddy has been blowing candles for full board and was delighted to receive books, a toy and a study chair from us and $$ from mummy but not forgeting that on the same day he has to sit for mid-year exam in the afternoon. We have a quick lunch at Swensen and in the afternoon while he's at school we went to Orchard to do an errand. But it does not stop here either because it appears that for dinner we have special guests to witness Kiddy blowed the candles for the 3rd time...sorry not the 3rd times but that was the 4th times including on 1 May 09.

1st Week
I guess every working people are waiting for the 1st day of May...yes!!...yeeeesss!! An additional day for me to get rid off all those morons...... Anyway, I envy the school children, they are so lucky and fortunate because they got the holiday that was meant for the labourers. Now i feel like going back to school, besides there are other benefits have been provided for eg money, shoe, clothes, etc..etc.. At times i wonder if the authorities let the student runs the school for one day without any adult at school....no?...yes!!....obviously impossible, right?

BTW on 1st May we were at Tampines celebrating b'day for the 3 juniors...Baby Ikah, Izz and Nur. Met some new/old people, more food to eat, party games.....and last but not least, BINGO!! I guess everyone was having fun. Thanks to my mid Sis and company made an endless effort to organise this party...MUAAHHH!!

4th Wk
Both of my sweethearts were having high fever on the weekend. On Fri, i felt restless and worried, when kiddy has been sleeping all day. Ironically hubby fall ill on Sat, after looking for "daun kentut" at Chua Chu Kang Cemetery and Bukit Batok for insecticide usage. What on earth is "daun kentut"??? Actually, on the same day we were supposed to be with the rest of the family celebrating Baby Ikah b'day at Pasir Ris Park. Sadly, we are unfit to be there...kwang x3 but we are looking forward for another celebration on Friday, 1 May.

Contentedly, i wanted to share few of my photos at the HSBC Treetop walk. This walk was organised by my company which was held on Tue, 21 Apr. We walked about 5 km and took approximately 3 hours to complete the whole "facinating, remarkable, exciting. etc.. etc..." journey ;( Those who intend to go must put on a proper gears...ooppss i don't mean the attire. "Gears" where you have to put-on physically when walking up and down the slopes and stairs....what a day!! My personnal opinion of being there in the english version is "feel sorry for not going, regret for going" lol..lol...lol

I received an unpleasant news on Thursday, 16 Apr. Not 1 nor 2 but 3 news that was involved with motorbike. In the afternoon, got a call from Sharm which made my heart throb when heard that her parents was involved in an accident at JB. Immediately, i informed my sis and at the same time she told me that 2 of our nephews had the same faith but not as bad as Sharm's parents. Alhamdullilah...thanks to God...all of them were not seriously injured. However, on the next day, I saw Sharm's parents in the news at BH and we visited them on Sat, 18 Apr.

There will always a flashback memories when heard about accidents. 2 yrs ago one of my nephew died in the extremely traumatic accident. We missed his corny jokes, stories and dry sense of humour. I always wish it’ll never happen to us again but accidents can and do happen. Guys "mat-mat rempit" if you read this blog please do treasure and appreciate the existance of the love one.. especially the family members. Life is so precious do take care and ride carefully....please..

2nd Wk

On Thursday the 9th we had a surprise BBQ birthday gathering for my sister-in-law. This last minutes maniac idea was planned by my niece. She conspired with her siblings for the whole day just to make their mom annoyed, irritated, isolated and the list continues. At the end of the day their mission accomplish.....it was totally hillarous..i'm not putting into details and not fogetting we r still in April Fooool month. I'm soo excited....nope sorry.. not me alone so are the rest. I can still remember everybody expression during the arrival of the b'day girl oopss!! Woman.....if only the cameraman and camera works sure GEMPAK!!! lol..lol..lol..

For the past week, we can't wait for the coming holiday. Yes!! It's Good Friday but it's NOT been good to us especially to me. I usually make an early booking to Batam, due to domestic reasons i refused to do so. Because of the dense mistake we end-up loitering at Vivo City for 4 "SOLID" hrs. Kesiankan....and that was not all. My main intention to be there is to go to the spa, unfortunately due to the mother nature call it was cancelled. i'm completely lost my mood to shop as it seems that all the things there were outdated and nothing good to buy. However, i managed to get my favourite keropok belinjau with flavour. In order to release my tension i took everthing in the box until nothing was left behind.

Well...on Sat, 4 Apr all Saini's daughters 'buat sibuk2' at Tampines. There was an engagement between Malik & Sehah. The guy is my brother-in-law's nephew and as usual we just eat..eat...and eat. In the evening we visited to our 1 & only Obek and then spent about an hr plus mosey around at Bedok Interchange.

The most buZziest month of the Year

Lately, i've been super busy!!.
Me have been struggling creating this blog and yet not satisfied with the background. I promised will change the background when got the time and skills. BTW thanks to Kak Lin without her I don't think this blog will exist. It's kinda Y generation trend which I have to catch-up and learn their way of communicating. Frankly I have so much fun creating this blog and will try to keep it updated.

1st wk of the month
On weekday things are as per norm. On Saturday, finally we had "kenduri" at home after sooo long longing to have this ceremony. It's tiring especially my sis but it worth getting the family together. Prayers are whispered as love attempts to heal emotional wounds. We are without words to describe our loss, but we are bountiful with hope that life will go on. The only way to discover happiness is to realize that they are in a better place than here on earth. Our love will continue with them in our hearts.

2nd wk

On Sat, 14 Mar 09 an important date to my eldest niece Marlyana who was engaged to Yusman. Congratulations on Your Engagement dear. Gosh!!....now i realised that all my dearest nieces and nephews has grown up.. They make me feeeeling older!!...but WISER. BTW hope they always find happiness in one another and in the wonderful love that they share.

3rd wk

YIPPEE!!! It's holiday. hah...ha..ha...it's does not meant for me. It's a busy week for my kiddy....On Thursday we went to Lot 1. Sent kiddy and Didi for a movie "DragonBall Evolution" which was organised by my company. The following day we went to IMM and had our dinner at West Coast foodcourt. Whereas on Saturday we intended to go to Esplanade and to visit the sick Merlion which was recently struck by thunder. Unfortunately we was stranded at Marina Square due to inclement weather. Our mission failed and we rushed home ...kwang..kwang...kwang.

4th Wk

Nothing much on this week. Only on Sun, we went to a seminar at Aljunied organised by Learning Discoveries P/L. Interesting topic was brought up and got few tips from the speaker Mdm Suria. They provide learning tools for student to improve and score more marks in exams. Totally unexpected that the seminar lasted for 3 1/2 long hrs. Earlier I had made arrangement with my sisters to have dinner at Kak Sabah house but was tooo late. We rushed there and had left over food for dinner.......disappointed but anyway alhamdulillah....but my tummy still craving for foods...arrrgggg....

Finally it's officially open!!
